I am running a late 2011 Macbook pro 2.8 GHZ intel core I7 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3. I am trying to use bootcamp to load Windows 7 for one specific program I need it for. When I get to the section to partition the hard drive and load the windows 7 installer disc that I burnt during the install process I get an error message that it can't read the installer disc. What am I doing wrong. I have tried several times. How big does the disc have to be to burn the installer disc? I am using a 700mb disc.

Is sounds to me that your using a CD instead of a DVD, correct? I'm not sure exactly but the EFI boot manager that Macs use don't allow to boot from a CD and so you won't be able to complete the install. Can you try again using a DVD?
It was a CD which I had no Idea made a difference. I totally started over about an our ago. Deleted my partition and started from scratch. This really shouldn't be this hard. I have read everything I can about bootcamp and windows on Mac, several hours worth. 12 pages of installation instructions that are not easy to follow. I didn't think I was this stupid, but I really feel that way now.

It may be advantageous to use slow burning speed for making the dvd. Faster speeds often fail to write well.
If this is your first time I can totally understand just how overwhelming this process is. I know I did when I first started using bootcamp.
Windows 7 requires a DVD, not a CD. It sounds like you may not have the full ISO installer image if you were able to burn what you have to a 700MB CD.
