We have made some minor changes to clarify and simplify user titles for MacRumors staff and volunteers. Most now have one of the following user titles:
A couple of staff members have dual roles (for example, as both an administrator and editor), and this is indicated in their user titles.
Those with one of the above user titles followed by emeritus formerly held the position but no longer have the associated powers or responsibilities.
Members with the user titles macrumors Demi-God, macrumors Demi-Goddess and Contributor are not staff member or volunteers. They have paid for membership and as a partial thank-you we give them special user titles, access to a private forum, the ability to customize their profile page and photo album page, and ad-free viewing of the news pages and forums.

To alert the moderation team to an issue with a post or member, please use the "Report Post" feature (the red triangle at the bottom left of a post). To contact the support team or administrators, use the Contact Us link at the bottom of each page on the forums. To contact the editors, follow the Got a tip for us? Share it... link at the top of the home page. If you see an issue with an existing news article, you can report the applicable forum post and the moderators will bring it to the attention of the editors.
- Moderators review forum posts and handle rule violations. Formerly Demi-God[dess] (Moderator).
- Administrators oversee the moderators and moderation, and develop site policy. Some administrators have more specialised roles. Administrators were formerly known as macrumors god[dess] in most cases.
- Editors and Contributing Editors are those who write the articles that appear on the front page.
