I'm about to put two SSDs in my non-Retina MBP without any particular RAID configuration. I figure to cherry pick the most important files and keep a copy of each on both drives but other than that each drive will contain different data.

My question is, will booting into the main SSD be any slower with the presence of the other SSD in the optical drive? Like even if only a few seconds slower?
