Refurbished Late 2013 13-Inch Retina MacBook Pro Debuts in Apple's Online Store

Following the appearance of 15-inch models of the latest Retina MacBook Pro in Apple's online store for refurbished items over the weekend, 13-inch models have now debuted in the store, again offering discounts of roughly 15% compared to brand-new units. While a number of different configurations were available when the 13-inch machines first appeared late yesterday, Apple is currently listing only two of the three stock configurations as available with shipping estimates of 1-5 business days.

- 2.4 GHz dual-core Intel i5 with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB flash storage: $1099 ($200 savings)

- 2.6 GHz dual-core Intel i5 with 8 GB RAM and 512 GB flash storage: $1529 ($270 savings)

The third stock configuration, a 2.4 GHz model with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, is listed as out of stock but will be priced at $1269, a $230 savings.

Pretty sure the answer is no but if you are a student or teacher can you still get the education discount on these?

That's cheaper than the current 13 inch non-retina macbook pro. I may buy one of these.

Pretty good deal considering not too long ago, the 13" rMBP was thicker, had relatively weak graphics and started at $1,699.

Tempting. New is currently $1199 from Microcenter -- beats tax in this area.

No. It has the Intel HD 5100 Iris integrated graphics chip.

Nah that's only offered on the 15".

Graphics are significantly improved over last gen though, now that Intel has multiple integrated graphics options and the 13" rMBP isn't getting the same thing as the MBA.

Hmm, just got my W2 tax form to file for my tax return too.. Have I decided to spend it already??

Before MacBooks went retina, and maybe before thunderbolt, there were some pretty great and reasonably priced docks available that allowed for the MacBook to be docked and have it connect to a monitor, speakers, external hard drives, etc.
Can anyone recommend any good ones for the retina 13" or 15" model?

I see thunderbolt docks priced at $300+, but I remember these other docks being much more affordable.

I'd be more tempted about the 13" if only it had AT LEAST Iris Pro…

I really hope this is the last year that Apple offers 4GB RAM in a base model MBP.
