At present i am using a iMac27 (Spec 3.4Ghz Intel Core i7 16GB RAM Mac OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard 2TB SSD Hard Drive 2560 x 1440 Resolution) with Final Cut Studio (Final Cut Pro 7, Motion 4, Soundtrack Pro 3, DVD Studio 4, Color 1.5, Compressor 3.5 + Cinema Tools 4.5) to captures DVD PAL (720x576 @ 25fps) via Blackmagic Ultrastudio 3D Thunderbolt connection and am using a 8TB G-RAID with Thunderbolt connection as a scratch disk (capture & render files).
If no, would anyone be able to advise which route to take to achieve or surpass the aforementioned youtube clips would a hardware solution be the best option (Blackmagic Teranex 2D or 3D) at the capture stage or afterwards by using software such as Adobe Premiere or Da Vinci Resolve to upscale (SD to HD) and Color Correction (enhancement).
