I'm going to work for a year and live off of what I have minus 75k,ill put a down payment on a house with that, invest the rest for that year, then give notice and leave.
I'm in high school so I don't have a job but I would still go to collage after high school and get a job.
I'd be happy living on 100k a year forever.
The rest + interest would go to a cat shelter when I die.

I wouldn't keep working. As far as how I'd quit, I figure I have 3 choices:
1. Quit like Scarface (nsfw language)
2. Put in my 2 weeks notice and finish it out as usual
3. Go to work, do nothing, collect a paycheck, and see how long I can do that until I get fired
I like the people I work with, so I'd probably do the 2 weeks, but there have been times I certainly would've done 1 or 3. Although I don't even think I could pull 3 off, since I'm on an agile development team. What would I say in daily stand-ups? "Yesterday, I did nothing. Today, I plan to do nothing. Any obstacles? Yes, Facebook and porn are blocked at work"
I would need a lot more than 10 million to buy my employer. Probably 10 billion, and I'm not sure that would be enough.

But then go back to work, otherwise I'd go insane. I was unemployed for about a 2 months a while back, and it was great, for the first 6 weeks. Then it was terrible.

I'm in my mid 20s... I would go crazy if I quit my job! I'd apply for a decent sabbatical (3-6 months) and go on an amazing holiday... pure luxury!
Maybe after a few years (and things like kids came along) I'd try flexible working - ie 3-4 days a week.

I just started into programming and graphic design. I would keep doing it because for once, I actually enjoy working.
Don't know if I would keep my current job or not, but I would definitely need something part-time at least 15 or 20 hours a week to stave off boredom and temptation. 
Depending on age $10M is unlikely to really be enough to live off for the rest of your life. At least at anything significantly above a moderate life style. So yes I'd keep the job.
The long answer:
Let's assume you want a new/better house: most likely you'll drop at least $1M on that (if I wanted to stay in the local area here I could easily double or triple that for a really nice place). You will probably want a new car, some splurging on possessions etc. So let's say you have $8M left. If we invest that with a guaranteed income that adjusts with inflation until you die I recon you'd be lucky to get $75k a year (yes, going up every year in line with inflation). Would $75k a year really be enough for you considering you'd have 100% free time? Or would you rather have $75k on top of your salary and be able to have an amazing life style in your free time?

I think it depends on the job, and whether you love doing that work, whether you get job satisfaction from it, or, instead, whether it is a labour of love or just an endurance test which you endure simply for the salary.
If it is a job you love, or is a job by which you define yourself, then, I imagine that many people would not quit such a job, or, rather, instead of quitting outright, they might opt to negotiate - or re-negotiate - the conditions under which they would choose to work.
For myself, as long as I derive satisfaction from my work, I shall continue with it in some form.

Good choice. I've been there, and when I was there (in the 90s) it was truly the paradise of everyone's imagination.
I would retire. I do find my work very fulfilling, but I've been doing it for over 42 years...and doing nothing much sounds wonderful to me!
I would buy Condos in a few of my favourite cities (Toronto, Vancouver, Sydney), stay there during their respective summer months, and lease them out to students/business people the rest of the year.
Buy a small house in my current city to be close to family/friends.
I'd buy a decent car, nothing over the top.

I don't have a full-time job, I just freelance. So no, I would not continue working, at least not as much. I might pick up jobs that interest me from time to time, because I love programming lighting, but I would likely spend my entire time working on hobbies, maybe even ones that have a monetary result.
If you won that money at age 20, and died at age 100, that's still $125,000 a year, without any interest added in. Hell, you can live off just the interest of $10m pretty easily, even at just 1% interest. I think that's pretty well above a "moderate" lifestyle. Of course, our definitions of "moderate" might be different.

Early retirement. If I had bothered to play the lottery when it was at $656 million and did the math. Take the 50% away from taxes and was very conservative on my life expectancy and figured out I could live on $3 million a year for the rest of my life.

I work in public accounting now, so I'd find something that's a lower stress environment and is a 9-5, since I wouldn't need to make much . Would still want to work in something financially related, though.
