Hi Guys, quick question about my 2nd SSD in the optical bay. I have an Early 2013 Macbook Pro 13" with two SSD's, one in the Main Bay, and one in the Optical Bay.
To reduce "mobile power consumption" and possible extra "write" wear/tear on the 2nd optical bay SSD, is there a terminal command to put the 2nd SSD to sleep?
I know there is the "Put hard drive to sleep" in the Energy Saver section of the System Preferences (attached), yet I don't know what the consequences are for SSD's? I have also attached my screenshot of the "pmset -g" showing my current sleep/hibernate/power profile
My 2nd SSD in the optical bay has two partitions, one partition is being used for Time Machine, and the other is a Super Duper clone being done at 4am.
Any tips or tricks to reduce "write" wear/tear and mobile power consumption? Any issues putting the 2nd SSD to sleep?
Thanks for any tips and help, IAN
