I want to force macbook pro to use the 5GHz band over 2.4. I have been sifting through forums and sites and I am aware of renaming the SSID and prioritizing that. But through the bossman this is not an option, and downloading iStumbler is not an option. I work in a multi-platform environment and know that PCs have the option in the driver settings.
Through the power of scripting and pushing the script to clients I am hoping there is an answer.
I think that the ./airport JoinMode might be the best solution but have found little documentation on what the options for JoinMode do for me.
