Hey All, lately my MBA 2013 i7 8gb ram 128gm 13" has been lacking it's battery power... I have noticed that it has dropped after I upgraded to mavericks or every since I started using Parallels. If there is any help on this topic, it would be greatly appreciated as My computer keeps dying in school!!

MBA 2013 Battery Drop

Using a VM is a bit more CPU intensive than not using one, thus the drop in battery life.
Open Activity Monitor and select All Processes and then sort by CPU to show you the process(es) eating up your battery life.

I use Parallels as well and notice my battery draining really fast, I am assuming windows 8 uses a lot of battery life running in a VM, because when I don't have it open I notice my battery lasts way longer. I am using a 2013 MBA. I mean its a no brainer really you are technically running to OS's at once meaning most likely double the battery life consumption one would think. I just use my VM when i need to and shut it down when I don't.
I've used Parallels and VM Ware Fusion - both will wipe hours off your battery life.
Bootcamp is the way to go if you need to use Windows consistently and you want decent battery life.

it would be helpful if you posted some actual numbers - how long were you getting before? how long are you getting now?

The 127% was while Windows was doing lots of work. It's expected to use at least 100% (one processor fully) in that situation, and possibly more. What's bad is if it uses 127% while doing nothing.
