Screen small on ibook G3 800mhz

Hi everybody,

Hope you can help, i have only just seen the light!, i have a new G4 ibook and its great!, anyhow my brother is having trouble with his G3.

He reinstalled os x 10.2, and ever since the screen is very small, the mouse will not move out of this small area in the centre of the screen. The initial grey start up screen with the apple symbol is fine but then as soon as os x starts up it appears in a small box in the centre.

I have looked at display and the res is 1024x768, i cant change this and unlike my g4 it has no option to detect at a loss!!.

After he reinstalled osx the assistant stated that it could not work with this type of monitor??......only other thing i tried was the display calibrate but im not sure, any help would be great as its very difficult to use with such a small screen!!!

Thanks everyone!, all the best!
