I have a Mac Pro 2,1 that started as a 1,1, did the update
It has been upgraded from 4 cores at 2.66Ghz to 8 cores at 3.0Ghz
It has 2 SSD's in raid0 as the boot drives 10.7.5 installed
24GB of RAM
And a few storage drives.
My plan is to install Parallels (latest version)
Then install Windows 7 Pro 64
As we all know this Pro has the 32bit EFI, but Parallels doesn't mind
Oddly enough 10.7 is listed as a 64 bit OS as well

Does anyone for see any issues with this plan?

TIA
Mike

Thank you, I had searched the forums looking for any issues others may have had, and didn't find much.
I didn't want to be dependent on BootCamp for many reasons, but mostly I didn't want to have to re-boot.
This machine has more than enough power to do what I need. I work with PS and jpegs mostly, and mostly hundreds at a time. I do some editing/encoding of video just for fun.
This Pro is also a backup/file server for one Windows box and two Mini's.
I didn't need the power of the i7 or any of the more recent Xeon's, this was just what I needed for the work I do.

Thanks for the reply!
