Situation:

In order to try out the Facebook Paper iOS app (not available in my region), I switched my App Store region to the US, downloaded it, then switched back to my original App Store region. This worked fine.

So, now I have the Paper app alongside all of my other apps. When updates for my other apps are available, I'm notified and can download these as normal. However, when the Facebook Paper app is updated, I'm not notified and cannot download the update. I understand why this is the case (because I switched back to my original App Store region, where this app is not available).

Question:

Is there any easy way to obtain updates for this app? The only way I can think of is to switch App Store regions again, download the update, then switch back again. That's a bit of a pain. Is there any other way of doing this, or is this just the cost of trying to have my cake and eat it?

It's that painful. It even made me repurchase some often used apps to avoid.
A big weakness of the regional setup of the AppStore in a global world.

Cheers. I had a feeling I'd be out of luck finding an easier solution.
