Sort items in folder by date

Okay, I did a search HERE and on google and didn't find the info I wanted.

Basically, I have a folder of images on my desktop. I want that particular folder, and that folder only to sort all of its contents by DATE.

Is there a way to do this without batch-processing all of these images every time I add a new image?

edit: I've tried Automator as well and its a no-go.
 
Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but can't you open the folder and select View --> Arranging by Date. It's easier to read if you put it in list view first.
