macOS Need decent Perl learning books

Get "Learning Perl" it's an o'reilly book, and it more geared toward the unix crowd anyways. If there is are difference between PC and UNIX it will point them out.
Anyway, the O'reilly books are fine to learn Perl on a mac because they will always use UNIX as their guide for perl not windows.
