Hi new to fourms here, I got a couple of questions about a powerlogix 1.8ghz single cpu.
My G4 (AGP) has a powerlogix 1.8ghz @ 100mhz FSB cpu. I was reading up on over-clocking the FSB with open frimware to reach 133mhz FSB on mobo. However, I was wondering since my powerlogix cpu is at 100mhz FSB would it operate a 133 mhz too or would it just change my FSB ratio (currently 1:1)??
That brings me to my next question is if I have to would I have to solider the anything or de-solider anything on the CPU card so it would operate @133mhz FSB?
The main reason I'm confused about this is the CPU can go either in to a DA and QS that operate @133 FSB so would the CPU just adjust automatically the FSB ratio to 1:1? I know that I would Have to adjust the multiplier accordingly. The Jumper/Dip switches can be found her along with picture of either the same or vary close to the same card.
