iPod Can ipod shuffle a single playlist?

I can't figure it out using itunes playlist criteria, and the ipod manual isn't much help.

I like All my five star songs, but I don't want to listen to A-Ha and Alanis Morissette (and every other song in alphabetical order) every time I turn it on.
 
In the settings menu from the main iPod menu, there is a shuffle option that can be set to "Off, Songs, or Albums" set it to songs, then go to your playlist.
 
Maybe stupid Apple should come out with a shuffle button on the iPod so we could shuffle playlists without having to navigate to the top to change such a setting, and then having to navigate down back again into our playlist. Stupid Apple.

That's like one of my majorest pet peeves about the shuffle feature.
