iPhone Can tweaks cause wifi to stop working?

Can tweaks cause wifi to stop working? I restored because I thought it was a sudden hardware problem and was going to take it to the apple store. It worked after the restore, but I'm curious as to what may have caused it? I didn't have any tweaks that dealt with wifi scanners or anything. Can developers disable wifi if you don't pay for apps?

Ah, I guess I will go to my appointment today, thanks. But do you know why it would work after a software update if its hardware related? That seems weird to me.

You could be start seeing random on and off wifi issues.
Could be the antenna got loose inside or the chip acting up.
If you're under warranty I'd bring it in.
