I did a restore from an iCloud backup last night (because of a syncing issue) and it seems my iMessage isn't working. I can't receive any iMessages, but I am receiving them on my Mac so I know they're coming through.

I tried sending an iMessage to a friend on iPhone but it just says it failed to send and then sends as a text, even though it is received as an iMessage on my friend's iPhone.

I split a little water on my iPhone if this is relevant, but nothing major - nothing got into the ports or speaker/mic grills or anything. Everything else works fine (SMS, earpiece, speakers, mic, WiFi, cellular). I've checked the water indicator on the sim tray - still white.

Edit: Forgot to add - I've tried turning iMessage off, resetting network settings and turning it back on, but still no result.

It seems setting up iPhone as new is my only option left.

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1.
