I know the 3GS is old, and this might be a shot in the dark, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas that could help.
My sister has a 2011 3GS running on 6.1.6 and for the last couple weeks she hadn't been able to get signal at all. I replaced her dock/cellular antenna this morning and now it can get 3G signal, but if I switch 3G off, the phone just says Searching. She's on Airvoice (mvno on AT&T). I have an older 3GS (2009), also on Airvoice and I'm not having the issue. Switching SIM cards doesn't change anything (ie, my SIM in her phone doesn't get 2G either). Sounds like a phone issue? I haven't tried backing up and restoring yet.
