Both of my iMac finds the signal from the linksys router, but it won't let me connect to the internet.

What am I doing wrong?

Read your Linksys manual

Make sure the router is set to serve DHCP, and that the Macs are set to Automatically detect settings.

If that doesn't work, set the settings manually: Read your Linksys manual, and get the DNS addresses from your ISP.

Go to safari and type in 192.168.1.1 and see if it will load to the router page. If it does, then your Mac is reading the router and its working right. It'll then be a problem with ur modem connected to your router problem. Then you follow the statement above.

If the Mac doesn't read it...then its a problem with the settings on ur Mac and ur best bet is to use the Internet setup assistant for a speedy setup.
