iPod touch Listen to music in my car with 30pin instead of headphone jack?

My car has an aux port in the stereo but my old ipod touches headphone jack doesn't work what so ever.

I can use the ipod on a dock through the 30 pin connector so I know this part works, I was wondering what could I use to do 30pin -> 3.5mm to plug into my car?

Normally you'd just use a 3.5mm male to male aux cable and plug it into the ipod port but that's broken so I need a different solution.

I'll look for something similar to that. That's a little more stuff than I need and costs $30 which is about the value of this old thing hahaha...

I currently use a dock in the house but in the car I can't do that.

Not sure why that is. Just clicked it and it works for me.

I just ordered a 30 pin male to usb and 3.5mm for $4 on ebay... chances are it won't last long but it's something
