Having issues with SD cards used on SD reader in MacBook Air

I have a selection of SD cards that can mount with no issues on PC's and my iMac.

However, they don't all mount (or can be seen) on my MacBook Air ! In fact, only one does ... they others do nothing !

Have tried cleaning slot with air, putting some cards in and then removing 1mm (as per the youtube clips) but no joy .....

Any help / tips would be appreciated

I've often had a similar problem where my SD would not show up in Finder. I have to remove it completely and re-insert, sometimes twice.
