What am I doing wrong (issues with saving a webpage)?

I don't have Firefox, but it looks like you saved as an HTML file maybe?
You will have better luck if you hit command-p to bring up the OS X print dialogue, then click PDF at the lower left then save as PDF. That will keep the page readable and laid out properly.

You should be able to just grab the link in the titlebar and drag it to the desktop. It looks like you have the title bar hidden though. Look in the Firefox view menu there and see if it allows you to show the title bar or perhaps the toolbar.
