Sound Issue

I had recently bought 15 retina mbp and I am having issues with my sound. when i watch a tv show and close the lid, i come back to watch it and their is no sound coming out of the mbp or my headphones. I have already did a fresh install thinking it may be a software issue but it still happens. Also did a Smc and pram reset. I can't figure out what is wrong

yes a restart fixes it but it happens almost everyday
