Hi all,
We're setting up a RIP on a quad 2.8 mac pro running 10.6.8. The vendor setting it up says we need some extra hard disk space and I'm trying to save some money right now, so i'm looking at some of our machines we're running that have an extra drive that's not really in use right now.

We have a mac pro 3.33 6 core with an extra internal that fits the bill. The problem is it's running 10.7.5 whereas the quad 2.8 is running 10.6.8

So my question is, is the process as simple as swapping drives and just reformatting it in disk utility on the 10.6.8 machine? I'm assuming it is, but I just wanted to make sure from the guru's out there.

thanks in advance!
Mark
