This isn't your usual 'Mac Peripheral' but is probably one of the most important. I'm looking for a desk. Something very nice yet minimalistic desk for a home office setup with dual 27" monitors. Can anyone make a recommendation? I'm having a hard time finding anything that I really like.

Might not be what you are looking for, but I really want this electronic sit/stand desk http://www.ergodepot.com/mobile/product.aspx?ProductCode=jrv. I would just get the frame and add my own table top.
For minimal, look at Heckler Design One Less Desk. I have this but don't have dual monitors. It may work if you get a dual VESA mount to clamp to the desk. It's a solid desk. I can sit on it and it won't budge. Has a hidden slot for drives and cabling also.

Heckler needs to have a 20-24" deep model....that would be a winner in my book. The 12" model is just too limiting
Go to an office supply outlet (Staples, OfficeMax, OfficeDepot) and get a "conference table" with folding legs.
30"x60" is a common size (some are 30"x72").
Cheap, broad, flat surface to put your stuff on.

I'm a miser but like good quality. You know that no one will spend more than our federal government purchasing nice stuff then sell it cheap. Check out the GSA Auction site. I've got some real good steals here.

Not terribly original, but I have a number of Ikea modular units bolted together into a vary capacious L shaped configuration.
Cheap, very solid and they don't charge an arm and a leg for little extras like cable management.

Doesn't that shelf underneath get in the way?
Really like the cable management in that one. You could hide hard drives, time capsules and all sorts of stuff in there quite easily.
I use the Ikea "Galant" desk system.
I have a huge L shape that is about 2m x 180cm.
Works really well and is very solid, great for the money (approx £300)
