I have (finally) updated all the different language versions of my week numbers iCal calendars. They should work from 2004 through 2016 now. (Is that enough? ;))

Norsk version
English version
Deutsche Version
Version française

Just click the link of the version you want to subscribe to. (If you already use it a simple refresh should be enough!)

Let me know if there's any errors. Note that all weeks start on Mondays, this is not an error and I'm not going to change it...

Numbers in ical

Thank you so much for this!

I have been missing this feature from ical and this is perfect!

questions

Great. But 2 questions:

1 the week number doesn't show up on my iPhone iCal - is that intended?

2 how do I "uninstall' the week numbers if I want to?

thanks

1. If you subscribe to it, then it won't sync over to the iPhone. If you want it on your iPhone you need to subscribe to it directly from the iPhone or download and add it to an appropriate regular calendar.

2. Assuming you subscribed to it (or added it to an otherwise empty calendar): Mark the Calendar, right-click and choose Delete (or use the menu: Edit -> Delete) to delete the calendar. (If you've added it to a calendar with entries you want to keep, you may search for Week, or whatever it says in your language) and then sort the search result on title and mark all from Week 1 to Week 53 and press the backspace or delete button.)

I can't remove it...

When I try to remove this, I get the message that I can not alter or delete this item, because i'm subscribed to it!

How can I change that?

Thanks in advance.

Are you trying to delete a calendar item or are you Deleting the calendar from the column on the left using the right-/ctrl-click context menu:

Hi !

Does anyone know if there any way to get the iCal Week Numbers subscription to sync with Mobile Me ?

Thanks Glenp3813

^^ You can download the calendar (right-click the link and choose save as or just option-click the link), then add it to iCal by double-clicking the ics-file. (Just remember to tell it to make a new calendar, rather then adding it to an existing one. That'll make it a bit easier to handle later on.)

Now you'll have a regular calendar in iCal, that should sync over MobileMe without problems.

I really, really hope that Apple puts weeknumbers into iCal soon...I'm beginning to fear I'll have to expand these to beyond 2016...

Thanks!

This is brilliant. Thank you so much!

Agree that this could easily be a part of iCal as standard, but it's great that this solution is available.

Note that all weeks start on Mondays, this is not an error and I'm not going to change it...

Then I'm not going to bother...

Why not offer an option? Heck, what if there's someone who prefers the weekends at the beginning of the week? (Makes sense when there's a Monday holiday!)

Thanks indeed. This is a nice addition to iCal. No problem about the weeks starting on Monday, although the first day of the week may in actuality be Sunday, for all practical purposes in most of our lives it is Monday.

Week Numbes in iCal

Can you post your source, so I can adjust the week numbers to match standard Gregorian format? Since that is actually the acceptable universal standard to conform to other applications that use GMT, if I can edit this to conform the days, that would help me better use an otherwise fine widget.

Thanks!

Small Week Numbers

Thank you for the useful Week numbers in ical. Probably too much to ask, but it would be convenient, if the week number could appear as a single small entry, for example in the upper left corner, or as an additional column to the left of the week in the month view, in the upper left corner in the week and day views, but that would be a request Apple itself would have to address I guess. Now it takes up an all-day event's worth of space.

one week off

Nice idea. I would prefer to have the entries just on the Monday instead of the whole week but that's just me.

Unfortunately it seems to be one week off. This week should be calendar week 23 but it shows as 22.

Thank you <3

You are a angel been looking for this for so long..

Thanks a million

Considering the official Week Numbers standard, part of ISO 8601, dictates that weeks start on Mondays, that is what it should be. Despite any personal preferences.

You can insist that the day that comes after Monday should be called Wednesday but that is not only very impractical in communication with other people, it would also be ridiculous to demand that calendar app developers change their apps to your specific personal preference. :)
