How to Video Chat using an iBook?
Day 3 of my iBook and I'm still loving it. Have almost converted 3 friends too!
My only incompatability issue so far is that I used to use MSN Messenger on Windows to Video chat with family abroad. The Mac version of Messenger doesn't seem to support it. I have downloaded Adium but that's text only too. iChat seems only to work with others who have iChat and so far I am the only person I know with a Mac!! Can anyone help with a good Mac app which will let me video chat with Messenger users? Maybe I'm asking the impossible! Thanks |

I'm trying to do the same, not successful yet. But I found the following web page that I thought was very informative. Maybe it'll be useful to you too.

I think Mercury for Mac (MSN client) can do video. Try that out. You're going to probably need an iSight though, not a USB web cam.

Thank you so much - I downloaded Mercury and it does the job nicely. I was looking for a reason to buy an iSight anyway and now I have one! Cheers for that.
