Hello everyone.

I have a mid-2011 Mac mini that I want to get working again. The flex cable is broken in half and I need to:

1) Repair that
2) Put it back together

Can I repair it without buying a new sata flex cable? They look rather expensive.

Depends. What's broken ?
You can find flex cables for €20 on eBay for example - the same ones that let you install a second drive in the spare bay.

If the ribbon cable is "broken", it's going to require replacement.

It's probably that simple...
