Hey everyone,
for different reasons I want to restore my iMac. I have got a full backup with the time machine, now my question is, if the programs that I had on their will be on their again when I insert the backup?
So for example Word etc.
Do I have to install all the applications again and use another License Key?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Yes, if you do a full restore from a Time Machine backup all your apps will be there. But some apps, notable Microsoft and Adobe apps, sometimes require reentering the registration info.

make sure you validate the timemachine backup before restoring. I had an experience where the backup was working and when I was opening time machine it was giving me an error message every time. I had to format the drive and reconfigure time machine again.

Just open the time machine application, if there is no error message coming up, you're good to go.
