I have a 2008 Macbook that I would like to use with some sort of iOS app as a trackpad so that I can wake it from sleep in clamshell mode. I have tried Mobile Mouse, but it does not wake the macbook from sleep, are there any other apps out there for this, or do i need to buy an external mouse?

Thanks

Do you use a wired keyboard? If so just tap the space bar.

I do not want to have to use a keyboard, i just would like to use my iOS device to control the computer.

As far as I'm aware, it will have to be either a USB keyboard/mouse (wired or wireless) or bluetooth. Unless you can wake it via network with the iDevice and keep it awake, I don't know of a way to do this.

Maybe something like no sleep or caffeine would work. They allow the mac to stay awake with the lid closed. But that doesn't help the sleep issue really.
