Macworld Expo-CES 2006 overlap a lose-lose situation

Category: Opinion/Interviews
Link: Macworld Expo-CES 2006 overlap a lose-lose situation
Description:: Not good. The 2006 Macworld Conference & Expo and the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will collide next year, with the dates for the two tech events virtually overlapping for the conventions’ entire durations. There’s usually some overlap—a day or two—but this is the first time in 2002 that the shows completely smash into each other.

Really, the first time in 2002? That doesn't make sense, does it?

I think in the future the CES organizers should coordinate with Apple. Its never good to have the two biggest Expos of the year occupying the same space on the calendar...

Someone suggested broadcasting the Macworld keynote at CES. If nothing else, that has potential to be a good idea depending on what Apple plans to announce. Broadcasting a lackluster keynote there could backfire, too.
