iPhone app to make badge circle clear (or removed)?

i have tried boover and badge customizer and neither can just remove the badge (circle), but still leave the number visible. is there a way to achieve that with those apps or does anyone know of an app that can do it?

the best thing i've figured out if to use boover with no outline, reduce alpha, and use the get color from app icon option. it's not exactly what i want though.
