I have a cellular iPad Air on Verizon. Out of curiosity, does the iPad Air support Verizon's new XLTE network? I'm told that all current generation phones and tablets do, and I see the iPhone 5c and 5s listed on their site as supporting it, but their site is vague about whether or not the iPad Air and retina iPad mini have XLTE support. Most things I've seen say that they are, but I've yet to see anything definitive. Does anyone have any further proof or citation that'll clear this up? Much appreciated as always. Thanks.

Short answer: yes, the iPad Air supports it, as does the current iPad minis.

Long Answer: "XLTE" isn't a "new" network. The name is marketing fluff that's being used to dress up the additional bandwidth Verizon has added to the existing LTE network. It's still LTE, just with more capacity.
