I've been trying to find a way to use my Late 2013 27 inch iMac as an external display for my PlayStation 4, but have not found any solutions online.

I was told to use this video capture card: http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/intensity
Along with an HDMI splitter to remove the HDCP?

I don't want to actually try it, unless I know that it works...

So... Is there a way? ;(

Disabling HD copy protection on the PS4 output when it's playing a bluray disk is not impossible, but it's not trivial either.

If a T-bolt iMac could easily do external video input using other than target mode, then Apple would have announced such.

no, there really isn't a way. cheaper to get a $150 TV and call it a day. why go through all the hassle and money. the imac isn't designed as an output for anything other than another mac.
