Restore Photos to Phone without using iCloud Backup

So here's the problem, my phones battery life has been on the fritz so I want to start with a FRESH phone. But I don't want to lose all the photos I've taken. Obviously I can back them up to my computer but I was curious if there's any way to put them back on my camera roll once my phone is refreshed.

Obviously there's iCloud Photo Stream but that doesn't have all my photos (I currently have 833 on my camera roll and only 212 on Photo Stream).

Any thoughts?

Create a shared photo stream but don't invite anyone. Transfer the photos there and then you should be GTG. All the restores I've done, new devices, ect, my shared streams have never lost anything.
