I have an imac 27inch i7 2010 model, 12GB ram and my internal drive died., i was too late for the recall and decided to invest in 2 4TB Seagate hard drives along with two USB 3 DOCKS,
What is interesting is that i formatted both of them using disk utilities but one of them causes a beach-ball to appear indefinably after 1 minute of use and when i try the key commands to force quit it the window never comes up so i am left with force quit via the power button.
I was hoping someone can advise me about how to check to see if this drive is defected or what to do,
