the top left bezel becomes quite hot when watching short video clip.
Looking at iStat I noticed HDD fan shows 0 rpm no matter what, the other two fans CPU & Optical at 1700rpm seems to be OK.

SMC reset didn't help either so I decided to replace HDD fan. However after HDD fan replacement the speed is still 0 rpm!? I'm having bad feeling this must be a logic board problem..
Checking all temps I see the hottest spots are power supply (located exactly at the top left) and graphic chip (about 176F) when running video.

I'm guessing this HDD fan is designed to relieve mainly HD heat but it might have some effect on other components as well, like power supply?
I'm not sure if hard drive swap for SSD would help temperature wise since HD temp shows 150F and I'm sure any SSD won't be even close to that.

Any Apple hardware expert - can you help me here? TIA
