Work gave me an iPhone 5s, it's good to be back, when entering an event in the calendar is there a way to have that event show on the notification drop down screen? I.e I'm on call tomorrow or a day next week. instead the notification screen saying event planned for tomorrow I would likely to say on call or what event planned event is. Thanks

Basically you want to see your iCal in Notifications. You simply turn it on in Notifcations. Go to Settings - Notifications - Calendar - select the Alert type and turn on Alerts for notification. etc

Notification screen will, currently, only show todays stuff and then say how many you have for the following day at the bottom. Cant remember if this is changing in iOS8 but currently in iOS7 there is no way to show tomorrows events on the notification screen.
