I'm new to the forum and require some of your best advice.
I am a wedding photographer looking to upgrade my Mac Pro early 2008 3,1 to get the best use.
1x 2.8ghz quad core
8GB RAM
GeForce gt880
20" Cinema display + Samsung SA350 display
640gb 7200rpm HD
2TB external usb 2 hard drive
And USB 3.0 PCIe card upgrade
I use Lightroom 5 and Final Cut Pro X on a regular basis.
I want to upgrade to get the best of it.
My ideas are:
another 8GB RAM
Samsung EVO SSD 128gb (for boot and apps)
Another 500gb SSD (for current projects?)
3tb USB 3 external for backup
and finally would like 2x3.0ghz quad core processors
how does that sound? Anyone got any other suggestions? upgrade my Graphics card too?
