i have a 1.67 pb and a 1.42 mac mini.
both of these systems download via FTP and even AFP over the net very slow as compared to my winblows machine.
on winblows i run cuteftp and download without fail at 600-800kb/sec
on both my macs i run interarchy or transmit and max out at 400kb/sec at best usually staying at 200kb.
I'm downloading off my work server. and i always get good cuteftp speeds.. i've check cables and ports with my hub and receive the same results.
Any thoughts on what might be causing this? i've also tested other ftp servers and receive the same results. it's like mac can't get the right speed or something.
