I have a problem with the DVD Player app on my mid-2013 Macbook Air. When I try to watch a DVD, everything works perfectly. However, if I want to load a new DVD without having first quit DVD Player, the app freezes and the pinwheel won't go away. The drive also spins nonstop. The only way to make it work again is to force quit and load DVD Player again. Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

I'm sorry, but I can't help you with your specific problem, but try using VLC. I think that's what most people (and me) use for their video player anyway.
