Hey guys ive been running g.skill rip jaws 2 x 8gb and it has been giving me kernel panics.

I"m thinking the mac does not like them.

Any way "m keen to order 32gb of different ram and would like peoples opinion on whats working good in there system.

Ive read people running this are having no issues:
http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/memory/bls2k8g3n18aes4

But there site says its not compatible,

I was also looking at kingston hyperx

http://www.kingston.com/en/memory/search?DeviceType=2&Mfr=APP&Line=iMac&Model=85755

The 1st hyperx module on display.

I"m looking for the best/fastest quality ram to go into my imac that wont give me kernal panics cheers!

If you have other recommendations please share!

iMacs are very finicky about RAM. There are two vendors that have consistent quality, OWC (http://www.macsales.com) and Crucial. Personally I wouldn't purchase from any other vendors or use any other RAM.

Yeah I know how finicky they can be!

Cheers for the replies guys and suggestions but I'm am looking for a performance ram, so 1600mhz and tight timings or 1866!

Ill look into owc but it looks like kingston at this stage!

I have been running 1866MHz in mine since the day I received it. I changed the RAM before even powering up the machine.

I'm running these:
Crucial Ballistix Sport SODIMM 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR3 1866 MT/s (PC3-14900) CL10 @1.35V 204-Pin Memory BLS2K8G3N18AES4

2 - 16GB kits, so that's 4 - 8GB RAM Sticks = 32GB.
Zero issues and overall one of the highest benchmarking iMacs on Geekbench, if benchmarking does anything for you.

My cousin had the same issue and we couldn't get to the bottom of it after weeks of trying. He ended up just backing off to 24gb and it's been stable since.

Best memory for Mac Mini?

Mmomega, I'm looking to upgrade my Mac Mini (2.6 i7 late-2012) memory, there's two types of Ballistix upgrade kits 1600 & 1866 (your iMac memory)... will the Mini run 1866? :apple:

In case anyone cares,... after seeing the new 2014 Mini, I immediately bought the last of quad-core 2012's. Very Sad state of affairs for Mini Owners. :(

No such luck, I have 1866 in my 2012 Mini and it is downclocked to 1600.
The iMac on the other hand works at 1867.

I originally purchased this RAM.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009PV1ELO/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for my 2013 iMac but after doing more research I read of issues with using 4 sticks of 1.5v RAM.So I installed the Vengence in my 2012 QuadCore Mini.
I then ordered the 2 x http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DSGLMSM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which is 1.35v and I have not had ANY issues with either set in either machine, both run beautifully.

The screenshot is from an older 10.9.4 developer build but it has the Vengence 1866MHz RAM installed showing it as 1600.
