I'm just about to buy the newest model of iMac 21.5 inch display, with the most basic specs: dual core, i5, 500GB Hard drive, 1.4GHz and Intel HD graphics 5000, this will be my second iMac, I have a mid 2011 iMac that needs to be repaired and I wonder if it'd be smarter to just repair my old mac, it'd be cheaper than buying the basic new model and I'd get (back) the following specs: intel quad core i5, AMD Radeon graphics processor, 500GB Hard drive 4 GB of ram
I mostly use it for web browsing and video games, but I'd like to start using heavy video and photo editing programs, also keeping in mind that if I invest my money on repairing the old one instead of buying the new one I'd like it to last just as much
