Hello, this is my first post and first time having this kind of issue so any help would be greatly appreciated. I bought a brand new custom ordered Mac Mini Server from a eBay seller here in the UK. The system specification is in my signature I believe. It was originally bought from Apple UK in May 2014 but has not been opened/used until a few days ago when I received the system brand new with all seals intact. It is still under warranty and has extended AppleCare.
Here's the problem, I set up the Mac Mini, installed all updates, installed all my apps and then took a break as one of the apps (Logic Pro X) took a long time to install. I then waited for the system to cool down and installed a Skinomi carbon fibre protective skin on the Mac Mini. I then went to install Windows 8.1 via bootcamp and when I got to the stage to select a partition I noticed that the second internal SSD drive which I intended to use solely for Windows was not showing up. I called tech support and they went through some troubleshooting steps to locate the drive all with no luck.
So I've been booked in at my closest Apple Genius Centre next week and my question is, having had no experience with this kind of issue before, what will be the most likely outcome? Will Apple replace the system/drive if it cannot be repaired?
Thanks for reading!
