Just a quick question: I've had for several years a SIM PIN on my iPhone, the logic being that if someone steals my iPhone, they'll take the SIM out and won't be able to call/text with it.

However I've just realised if I do lose it and it is powered up again from dead, the SIM will be locked (and unlikely to be on wifi) so I won't have access to it via the internet and thus be able to track it via Find my iPhone.

So what do you suggest - why put a SIM PIN on or why turn it off? Opinions welcome!

Thanks

Tom
