Hello, first time poster here!
I have a 1st gen. MacMini PPC G4, that was bought on a local auction site. Initially everything went fine, it seemed working, then the machine was put aside for a few months. Next time I found that it refuses to boot, no apple logo at starup, insted a tiny folder icon with a toggling question mark and a mac head in it. Oh well... Checked the 3V battery, it was fine. Reinstalled the system, all went well on the second day, on the next week, but after a few months of resting it again refused to boot. Then I've tried all the magic key combinations to reset the machine, even put in a new hard drive, which was pulled from a working PC (not mac). And guess what it again refuses to start up after a month of resting, this is quite annoying.
Do you have an idea what could this be, or how to fix?
