I prefer my Discover Card, best credit card in the USA, imho. In fact, a very recent survey rated it the most popular and loved credit card in the USA (well actually tied #1 with Amex).

Apple Pay seems like the future .… but it also seems like they (so far) have enlisted the other Big Three credit card services: Amex, VISA, MasterCard. No Discover on the list. Bummer.

I just sent Discover an email, asking them when they intend to join the bandwagon.

Didn't know people still used Discover. Hadn't known anyone that used that since the '80s.

Either way, I think they want to target the big three right now...and as they said, that cover well over 80% of US transactions. They said more card providers will come.

Correct.

Why go through the hassle to support something that so few use it.

Total US CC 1,895,834,000

Visa 36%
MC 24%
AMEX 6.5%
Discover 7.2% = 136,500,048
Other (gas, store...) 23.3%

136,500,048 sounds like a decent number to me and more than AMEX.
