Folks

One of the sticky points for me not to move to iPhone has been the integration of google voice. Can someone who has IOS 8 comment on the new hangouts app? Can you access your Enterprise contacts (from email) within the hangouts app and call people?

Thx

Sure, it works fine. Just a little different.

For me, it works just fine.

It rings differently, coming in through Hangouts.....so you either have to get used to that, or have google voice ring your phone as it always has. Calling out is done through the app. And yeah, I can access all of my contacts through the hangout app.

It's not as seemless as on android, but perfectly workable. I use it daily.

I hope that's helpful.

Does it come through hangouts using data or there is an actual call that takes place inbound into the phone? I'm wondering if you'll still receive GV calls on iphone if you don't have a data connection
