Although I don't recommend this harsh treatment, I accidentally left my iPod shuffle (4th generation, silver) in the pocket of some pants. They stayed there all throughout the washing machine cycle, and then into high heat in the dryer. My wife noticed it resting on the door ledge of the dryer after that load was completely dried.
I was pretty much expecting to write it off and just buy another, but it still has all functions, holds a full charge, and doesn't seem affected in any way. No scratches, dings, dents, or fading of the Apple logo on the clip, or even button markings.
Are these things made pretty darn well or was I just lucky?
